Meal sharing & support

Enriching Young Minds

A meal is never just a meal. For a teenager in secure detention, a shared meal and an hour of real conversation may be the only time that week someone treats them like a person instead of a case number. That hour is where trust starts — and trust is what makes every other kind of help possible later.

Who it’s for

This program is for you if:

  • Teens currently in secure detention
  • Reached through our detention partners, not by application
What’s included

What you get

  • A shared meal

Food eaten together, not handed through a slot.

  • Games

Something to do with your hands while the harder conversations find their way in.

  • Real conversation

Guided discussion about what’s next — school, work, family, and what they actually want.

Know a teen who’ll be released soon?
