Workforce readiness

R.I.C.H. Connect

Rich in Confidence & Hope. Real job skills, real employer connections, and someone in your corner after you’re hired — for youth and young adults ages 13 to 24.

Who it’s for

This program is for you if:

  • You’re between 13 and 24 years old
  • You’re in Duval County — in secure detention or already back in the community
  • You want to work, and you’re willing to show up
  • No cost. No prior work experience needed. A record doesn’t disqualify you.
What’s included

What you get

  • Résumé and applications

Build a real résumé, then practise filling out applications until it stops feeling intimidating.

  • Interviewing

Mock interviews, including how to talk about gaps and records honestly and confidently.

  • Money management

Budgeting, banking, and what to do with a first paycheque.

  • Goal setting and soft skills

Communication, reliability, and conflict at work — the things that keep a job once you have it.

How it works

4 stages, start to finish.

  1. Register and meet with us

Fill out a short form. We follow up and sit down with you to understand where you are and what you want.

  2. Build your skills

Work through the readiness sessions — résumé, applications, interviewing, money management, and soft skills.

  3. Connect to employment

We connect you to second-chance employers and community partners who are ready to hire, plus mentorship and mental health support if you want it.

  4. Stay supported

Aftercare doesn’t end when you get hired. We stay in contact through the first months, when most people need support and have the least.

What happens after you register

Someone from our team reads every registration and follows up directly, usually within a few days. Your information stays with us. If you need help before we reach you, call (904) 664-6692.
